1. Snowdonia, UK

Snowdonia

Snowdonia is a region in northwest Wales concentrated around the mountains and glacial landforms of massive Snowdonia National Park. It is actually a very popular location for shooting movies with that "Viking Vibe". The Snowdonia National Park is the largest park in Wales and has the highest mountains in the whole of England and Wales.

The location was used to film "King Arthur, Legend Of The Sword" which is really quite expensive, considering taking the cast and crew up mountainous and icy terrains. This location is actually a good location for Hiking.


2. Ahmedabad, India

Maybe this already rings a bell. This location was used to film the Netflix hit, Extraction. Ahmedabad is the largest city in its state and has a population of about 6 million which is not surprising considering the total population of India. 

3. Madrid, Spain


Though many other movies and series have been shot in Madrid, the most popular is definitely the most popular is NetFlix's Money Heist (La Casa de Papel). The Spanish Research Council was used to film Parts 1 and 2, while the Nuevo Ministerios was used to film part 3. You will even be surprised to see an Egyptian museum close to the shooting location, which is kind of weird for Egyptian relics to be found in Spain.

4. Belfast, Nothern Ireland

The hit HBO series, Game of Thrones was mostly realized in Belfast, though some scenes were captured in Canada, Croatia, Iceland, Malta, Morocco, and Spain. Belfast was probably used for this purpose due to its ancient medieval vibe. Belfast is also home to HMS Titantic, which suffered a huge tragedy in 1912. The Titanic Belfast is an aluminum-clad museum about the sunken Titanic. So next time you're traveling to Belfast be sure to get there.

5. Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, China

This exclusive site was not actually a shooting location but an inspiration to James Cameron's hit movie "Avatar" which became was the top-grossing movie at its time and still only beaten by Avengers Endgame up to date. All the funny peak and "hanging mountains" in this area are extremely identical to those in the movie. 

This actually a very exciting site to visit with 243 peaks and about 3000 pinnacles in total. At dawn, a look from the top of the peaks gives it a sensation of a floating mountain, due to accumulated mist at the bottom. Tours are usually available at $100 upwards. When getting past China again be sure to visit this site.
