Day 2: Crane Beach, Barbados

This destination is another beach that rarely misses out at the "best beaches in the world" awards. In place of a crane, you do have the Crane, a 100-plus-year-old hotel resort that sits elegantly high up on the cliff with a glass elevator that takes its guests down to the perfect pink-hued sands and the blissful blue waters below. With the fair waves that keep rolling in, it's a great beach for boogie boarding and body surfing.

But there's still another way to enjoy the beach. To blaze your own trail, follow the road to beach another 500m east and you'll come to a cow pasture where a path leads you to a long, quiet strip of sand. Picnic? Check. Romantic getaway? Check. Sunbathing? Check.

With just a 6-min walk to the nearest restaurant, I need not worry about the alimentation for the day. The Marco Polo Bar & Grill serve grilled steaked with wine commonly known in the Spanish world as "Tapas". Tours are available in the $100 -  $200 dollar range which is quite affordable for a couple who are willing to travel to Barbados for a vacation.

Reviews from TripAdvisor are very impressive and users always return back with a cup full of adventure and satisfaction.
